A week of nostalgia...

It's hard to believe April is ending.... the last week has been a week of reflection on our holiday from last year. 12 months ago we were heading off on our trip of a lifetime, living it up in London and Dublin and packing up to head to New York. We had such a fabulous time, so it's been sad reflecting on all the adventures we were having 12 months ago. It's hard to believe that we were standing in Harrod's watching William and Kate's wedding!

This is one of the rare group shots we got on our trip....
This was in New York at an amazing steakhouse. It was our splurge night and was so worth it!

While catching up last week, we were chatting about what we've been up to since we've been back. Our gorgeous nephew was born, we have been to 3 more weddings (one of which was their amazing wedding weekend!), been to 2 funerals, had my ankle operated on, been through months of chaos with my wrist injury and am just about to get my sinuses operated on. That's all just the top line things! For the rest of the year we are looking forward to celebrating our nephew's first birthday, celebrating our good friend's 30th, heading to Bourke to visit cherished friends and heading to the Gold Coast for baseball later in the year.... Ben has been waiting for this one for a very long time!

It has re-energised my longing to complete an album from our holiday.... hmmm I am guessing that in 12 months time I will be still trying to complete it! There are a lot of other things on my list before I will get that wish complete! I have however been able to get some scrapping work completed.... if you head over to the Scraploot blog you will see all the details and close ups.

And for something new... a sneak peak at my page featuring on the blog this week....

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday... I'm off to have a bite to eat and then back into getting some work done at home!

Have a great week and happy scrapping!

I'm back!!

The last 4 weeks have just flown! I can't believe we are back from our overseas adventure already and back to work today.

Just thought I'd share a few of my favourite pics from our adventures....

This one is my all time favourite of the Eiffel Tower:

And a few more from Paris.... the yummy macaroons from Laduree
........the stunning Eiffel Tower
.... the huge and amazing Arc de Triomphe
... the once again stunning Eiffel Tower and my gorgeous hubby
The stunning doors at Notre Dame....Beautiful Dublin and our beautiful travelling companions and friends, Emma & Andrew....
Us girls....
Ben & I at brekky at Rolys...
And on to London.... fun times shopping in Oxford Street
The stunning architecture at Big Ben...
Having a bit of fun in the telephone boxes....
Catching up with my beautiful cousin after 9 years and meeting her gorgeous little girl....
And then we hit New York. President Obama came to town, so we skipped sight seeing and went shopping... at Tiffany's of course! Couldn't resist a little purchase myself....

Andrew & Emma's second visit... success this time! Their wedding bands are safely tucked in this pretty blue bag....
Times Square was insane.....
Our very yummy dinner at Prime Steakhouse....
The Chrysler Building by lights....
The Empire State Building in all it's glory....
And of course the long awaited Yankees game!! I have of course, also found some time since I've been back to scrap! These are my latest layouts for WOW - Words or Whatever.

"Happy Little Man" features a number of WOW chippie, with the chipboard title being inked and partially covered in patterned paper and glossy accents added to the word little; the chippie circle has been inked and the chippie banner has been inked and coated in glossy accents.

With "You & Me", I have inked all chipboard pieces and then covered the keyhole with superfine glitter, inked and coated the title in glossy accents and finished off the photo corner flourish with Tim Holtz distress embossing powder. I love this stuff! After a very long first day back at work, it's off to bed for this little chicken, as I'm exhausted and in for a huge day tomorrow!

Have a great week and thanks for dropping by :)
